Position Summary:

Employee will monitor daily schedule and vendor deliveries in support of the company business.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials.
  • Review work center foreman reports, identify jobs that are sitting and help resolve issues to get them moving.
  • Identify bottlenecks or work centers that are beyond capacity, provide solutions to spread workloads out.
  • Provide lead times for requested expedites.
  • Provide recovery dates for delayed jobs.
  • Will monitor and perform follow-up with vendors on all incoming schedule impacted items.
  • Will monitor all incoming UPS, Fed-Ex, and freight deliveries.
  • Create daily hotlist and work with Operation Manager to determine parts that need to be flag as critical to obtain on-time delivery.
  • Will communicate with Operations, Program Management, and Production departments on any vendor items that have estimated delivery dates that may impact Customer on-time deliveries.
  • Communicate with receiving to prioritize incoming freight.
  • Work with department managers on any schedule impacts determined by Operation Manager.
  • Print work orders showing as available from Engineering dept.

  • Will sit for extended periods at a time at a desk.
  • Will be required to work at a computer terminal.
  • Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are required.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms.
  • Must have a tolerance for stress.
  • Required to read, write, speak, and hear.
  • The employee must have strong interpersonal skills and communicate fluently in English with co-workers and outside business contacts.

Work Environment:

  • Will work in a busy office setting in a manufacturing facility.
  • Will be subject to office chatter, noises typical of office and manufacturing equipment, and frequent interruptions.
  • Must accept working in an environment where hazardous chemicals are used on a continuing basis. This shall include a tolerance for the noxious smells, vapors, odors, etc. that may emanate from various manufacturing processes.
  • Temperatures may range from hot to cold.
  • The work area may not have windows, and light is from fluorescent tubes.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Microsoft office programs skills.
  • Experienced with use of office equipment.
  • Comprehension of process specifications.
  • Clear and legible handwriting (i.e., neatness).
  • Excellent communication skills and assertiveness in working with vendors.
  • Regular attendance as scheduled.

  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Microsoft office programs skills
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
